I was in the cow shed and I noticed this cat had a rough coat and was wet.  I was curious and watched where she went.   It turned out the cow was licking her, and she seemed to like it because she kept going back.

This was taken at a dairy close to my home.   They sell some of the best milk, cheese, and ice cream.   They also serve meals, have putt putt, batting cages, hay rides and more for family fun.   A great place to go!   Young’s Jersey Dairy on Route 68,  between Springfield and Yellow Springs, Ohio.

Horses of Carriage Hill Farm (2009)

It was the first of spring and I was taking photos at Carriage Hill Farm (Dayton Ohio).  I stopped to take some photos of these horses.

I think they enjoyed getting their picture taken as much as I enjoyed taking their picture.

This brought back a memory of  my great grandfather.  He would say to me, “do not point your ears back at me.”  Which means do not get upset.

I picked this photo because of the angles of the horses, the shadows, and the contrast of the light and dark horses.

I couldn’t ask for a better photo shoot than these two ducks at the Cleveland Zoo (Ohio) in May 2009.   I believe this is the male and female Lesser Scaup which is often seen in western Lake Erie area in spring time. The color that emanates from the water truly makes this a spectacular shot.
