As you may know I love going to Carriage Hill Farm, Ohio,  where you can go back in time to a life that is much simpler.

The animals at the farm are all necessary to make this “living farm” authentic and to support the lifestyle of the earlier time.

This rooster is out enjoying the sun and certainly rules the roost!

Chicken I

This is one of my first Gouache water color painting series of 2009.  These chickens are shown in the shadow of the fence.  Chickens are one of my favorite farm animals .  (I also like to have them as household pets, but my wife says “no” even though she had one when she was little)

Check out Chicken II in  this series which is the same image in multiple colors.  No, these are not altered by computer.  These colors are the ones I’ve chosen to  use to complete these paintings.

I find this particular medium fun because it allows me to be creative and use my imagination.
