Sleigh Ride
What a joy it must have been to ride in a sleigh pulled by horses!
This painting captures two sleighs out on a cold winter evening. One sleigh has a couple who are out for a ride. The other is full of children nestled in a bed of straw.
The two sleighs meet at the bridge and wait for one to cross before the other can go.
What a merry evening! Sleigh bells ringing .
