Ice Blue
This “ICE BLUE” painting came from a dream I had that looked just like this lake created by a crater with rugged hillsides all around.
In my dream, I had just awoken at my campsite which was centered right at the top of the rugged hills. The air was crisp with coldness. The stillness, profound, was like a living creature of its own.
As soon as I woke up, I remembered the painting and started to work on it. Since I had other things I had to get done that day, it took six hours before it was done.
This was also the first “blue and white” monotone I did in traditional oil. After this painting, I did a couple more.
