Peace and Harmony (2009)
Congratulations to Shelley D, Fairborn Ohio for her first place contest winning title “Peace and Harmony” for this photo previously named “Duck Pair”! She won a free 8″ x 10″ print of her choice from the website. Muriel C of Seminole FL was a runner up with her suggestion of “Little Paddles” and received greeting cards as recognition. “Name the Photo” was the featured contest from July through September 2009.

I couldn’t ask for a better photo shoot than these two ducks at the Cleveland Zoo (Ohio) in May 2009. I believe this is the male and female Lesser Scaup which is often seen in western Lake Erie area in spring time. The color that emanates from the water truly makes this a spectacular shot.
